The "Impossible" becomes Reality.

Yesterday we bore witness to one of the greatest upsets in Super Bowl History, maybe even in sports history, as the New York Football Giants defeated the New England Patriots 17-14. No one thought that the Giants had a chance to win this game, not even the Giants Coach Tom Coughlin, I dont believe that even Michael Strahan believed that they could defeat the Mighty New England Patriots. Sunday we bore witness to history, the question is.

Will we witness history in March? The New York Football Giants began the year with a loss, then they got a win over the Baltimore Ravens. Then the Giants endured a 4 game losing streak where everyone believed that they were a "fluke" and had a season that was destined to end in destruction(seems vaguley familiar.) Then the Giants "found themselves" and began playing some great football going on a 6 game winning streak. They make it into the NFL Playoffs and make a dramatic run to the Super Bowl and defeat the Patriots. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I think we can see the same thing going on with our own Kentucky Wildcats basketball team. We start out 3-0, win a couple more games, the we go through a very deprssing 4 game losing streak. Everyone says the season is over, Alex Legion transfers, all seems to be lost.

But then, this Wildcat basketball team finds themselves. They start playing with the same passion as Kentuckys of old. The same passion as Beard, Hatton, Chapman, Issel, Nash, and Givens of yesteryear. Inspiring the Big Blue Nation and bring magic back inside Rupp Arena where nightmares resonated early in the year after suffering defeats from Gardner Webb and San Diego. Now we are approaching a 4 game winning streak, and this Wildcat team is playing great, GREAT Basketball. No one is giving them credit. This Kentucky team has a chance to make history will they? That I dont know. Look at the championships Kentucky has won(besides the 49,51 and 96 championships), 48, 58, 78, 98, will we add 2008 to that list and win our 8th title? A question that I cannot answer. But remember, there is no such thing as Impossible.
